The Coalition Building Track is for students that want to create relationships with other students and organizations on campus, connecting over shared values, finding common-ground and building allyship. You're excited by the opportunity to build relationships to create an inclusive campus space for everyone. You recognize that in order to strengthen the campus community or respond to difficult campus climate issues, building meaningful relationships with leaders across your campus community is the first step.
And if you're a student at SF State, you’re interested in taking all of that to the next level, helping design and recruit students for our Perspectives Tour and have a good understanding of the student groups on your campus. In your role on the Coalition Building Track, you'll help with the behind-the-scenes work it takes to recruit and approve trip participants, host pre-trip orientations, and provide post-trip reunions so participants get the most out of their experience.
Expectations
Trainings/Commitments
You’ll be successful if: you are able to engage across your campus community and walk away with several new sustainable relationships, both on an individual level and on an organizational level. You showed up for your peers in times of need, and were able to gain their support as needed and planned meaningful, collaborative initiatives. For those at SF State, you successfully recruited the next cohort for the Perspectives Tour and supported the SF Hillel team in all facets of recruitment, onboarding, and follow-through from the trip.
