It's stressful to be a student. But thankfully, Jewish tradition emphasizes prioritizing wellness, and comes with rich practices and wisdom to guide our efforts. That's why SF Hillel is committed to providing students with events, tools, and resources to support our students' physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, environmental, financial, occupational and social wellness.
Our Wellness Lounge
(Our Wellness Lounge is currently closed with the rest of our building. When we are able to be back in person, we look forward to having students use this space for their wellness needs.)
Check out our new Wellness Lounge! A quiet, secluded space downstairs at the Hillel house, it's stocked with supplies to help you find your balance. Stop by to experience aromatheraphy, pick up a fidget tool, read a guided meditations, take a break with a coloring book, or soak up the glow of our Seasonal Affective Disorder lamp (for those days when Karl the Fog just won't leave SF alone.) SF Hillel staff and a warm cup of tea are always around to keep you company, if that's what you're looking for.
Our Wellness Events
Check our calendar to take advantage of our free wellness-focused events. Check in with caring friends at Tuesday Schmoozeday, join a yoga session, or walk through Golden Gate Park. And every Friday, Judaism delivers us a wellness ritual that's a few thousand years old – we'd love to have you pause your week and welcome Shabbat with us!
