Israel is a beautiful land with a rich history; home to diverse peoples. Sometimes it's a difficult topic to talk about on campus. If you want to explore its cultures through food, art and music, or learn facts and narratives surrounding the geo-political challenges, or engage in peace-building work, or celebrate your pride as an Israeli, SF Hillel has a space for you. Connect with our Israel Experience Architect, Danielle, or sign up for the Israel Explorers Fellowship (more details below).

Vigil for Victims of Terror

This vigil was an opportunity to stand in solidarity against terror to honor those who lost their lives to violence. Hear from current students, California State Senator Scott Wiener, and SFSU President Lynn Mahoney as they share messages of hope, and affirm that there is no place for hate and terror on SF State's campus. And, hear a compelling story with Captain Uri Bar-Lev, the pilot who thwarted Leila Khaled's midair hijacking in 1970. Click here to watch and share the recorded Vigil on Youtube.

Write a message of strength & solidarity to SF State students

Community members and alumni have asked how they can be helpful when serious situations like these arise on campus. SF Hillel wants to show our students how much they are supported & cared for by the broader Jewish community. Please use this form to write messages of strength & solidarity to current SF State students who are feeling isolated and scared by the upcoming event.
