Description: Discovery Track is for outgoing students that want to help connect new Jewish students to a warm, vibrant community. You’ll be the first face people meet on campus or at our Hillel. As you get to know new people, you’ll help them find the right experience or group of friends.
Requirements:
You’ll be successful if: you use your extroversion and warmth to get out there and meet at least 35 new Jewish students on campus over the course of the year. Once you find them you’ll do your best to connect them to our community. You’ll do great because as you get to know them, you’ll share what they’re wanting and needing with Hillel.
Stipends: Each Discovery Track participant who successfully completes their track requirements will receive a stipend of $250 per semester.
Ideal Candidate Profile: You aren’t afraid to put yourself out there to meet new people. You’re welcoming, and eager to have real conversations with people to learn who they really are. You’re connected to other communities on campus, and proud to be openly Jewish in those spaces. You get excited about the thought of tabling or inviting new friends to join you for Shabbat. Your high emotional intelligence means you can read people easily and are passionate about communicating inclusivity.
Application process: Applications for the 2020-2021 academic year will open in Spring 2020. For more information, email Emily.
