Description: Coalition Building Track is for socially active and aware students who want to build closer relationships between Hillel and other communities on campus, connecting over shared values, finding common-ground and building allyship. The Coalition Building Track is SF State’s chapter of the David Project Fellowship. As a participant in our Coalition Building Track, you’ll learn about relational advocacy and ensure that Hillel is a leading force for inter-faith and inter-cultural experiences on campus.
Requirements:
You’ll be successful if: you build genuine relationships with key members from 1 or 2 other campus communities, find meaningful ways to build allyship, connect campus communities to Jewish community and values, support your fellow track participants in their outreach efforts, co-create at least one joint experience with another community, and stand up as a social justice voice for the Jewish community.
Stipends: each Coalition Building Track participant who successfully completes their track requirements will receive a stipend of $500 per semester.
Ideal Candidate Profile: you're empathetic, and determined to make an impact and bring groups together across difference. As a seeker of dialogue, you're understandable, adaptable and resilient. You know how to be in intersectional spaces, and think you could be a natural bridge builder for campus communities.
