Description: Empowerment Track is for caring students who believe in the importance of wellness and want to awaken people to feel inspired to live intentional, impactful lives. You’re interested in breaking harmful and unfair systems that hold folks back from reaching their full potential. You’re a natural teacher, who can relate to their friends and help direct them towards resources or actions that will make a difference for marginalized or underserved individuals.

Required Trainings:
  • Hillel Retreats: Empowerment Track participants agree to attend a mandatory on-boarding retreat (Friday, August 31 - Sunday, September 2, 2018) and a mandatory mid-year retreat (date TBD, January 2019). Travel and accommodations will be provided.
  • Mentorship meetings: Empowerment Track participants agree to schedule and attend one cohort meeting and two mentorship meetings per month with their mentor.

You’ll be successful if: you use your passion for an issue to educate and empower 25 of your friends, helping them measurably move to self-report feeling better prepared, resourced and motivated. You build campaigns to increase social awareness, or host experiences that combat systemic inequality or promote wellness.

Stipends: each Empowerment Track participant who successfully completes their track requirements will receive a professional development stipend of $500 at the conclusion of the academic year, to be used for their continued growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile: you are an advocate, and you help spread awareness to get others to care just as deeply as you do, you use all the resources and platforms at your disposal to want to educate your peers, you are an activist that likes teaching others to live their most intentional lives.

Application process: apply online here by May 12th, 2018. Applicants may be invited to meet for a conversation with Hillel staff. Cohort participants will be announced May 15th, 2018.
APPLICATION PERIOD CLOSED.
