Bias Incident Education Team

SF State fiercely believes in the value of education. Learning is at the core of all we do. With that, we want to reintroduce our community of the Bias Incident Education Team (BIET). This team is an important part of campus climate work at SF State, with a goal that every Gator has a safe learning, living, and working environment. BIET’s role is educational. Their goal is to provide educational awareness and assist campus community members with strategies that empower them to address bias incidents they encounter or observe.

Graffiti and Signage Reporting

At times you may see graffiti or signage that needs to be addressed. Please report it here so that University Police Department and Facilities Services can address the issue. If you live on campus and you see graffiti or signage in one of the residential life communities, please report it to your R.A. or another residential life staff member.  ​​

Students at USF

USF students can use this form to report an incident to the bias education and resource team.

Contact Information to File a Complaint:

1. Report directly to the Title IX Coordinator at 415-565-4733 or TitleIXCoordinator@uclawsf.edu

2. Report online, using the reporting form posted on Sharknet and/or

3. Employees can also make reports to managers and Human Resources.

4. Reports may be made to any administrator, faculty or staff member, “responsible employees,” who will promptly share the information with the Title IX Coordinator.

Reporting Harassment and Discrimination

If you would like to report unwelcome conduct, discrimination, or harassment related to antisemitism, anti-Jew or Israeli hate, please contact the UCSF Office of Ethics and Compliance, Investigations Unit (IU): Whistleblower@ucsf.edu.

Community Members of California College of the Arts can report complaints, concerns, or incidents of bias using this form. All submissions are reviewed and are provided with a response within three business days.

CARE Referral

Use this form to refer a student to the CARE Team. The Care team is a group of administrators who coordinate support for students experiencing difficulty. Students should be referred to the CARE team when they have recently shown a change in behavior, signs of distress or are struggling in and/or out of the classroom. Common concerns include, but are not limited to, mental health, illness or injury, behavioral changes, death of a friend or family member, financial difficulty, food insecurity and overall stress.

Incident Report

Use this form to report behavior that potentially violates the Conservatory’s conduct standards. This includes, but is not limited to, behavior outlined in the Student Code of Conduct, Academic Honor Code, Academic Regulations, and the Employee Handbook.

Title IX/Sexual Harassment Report

Use this form to report behavior that potentially violates the Conservatory’s Title IX and Harassment related policies. This includes, but is not limited to, acts of sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, and gender-based harassment. You are encouraged to report regardless of where the harassment or misconduct occurred.

You may file any of the above reports/referrals anonymously. (An anonymous report may limit the Conservatory’s response)

Students at any campus are encouraged to report antisemitism through the ADL. Click here to fill out a form or chat with their virtual assistant for further guidance. SF Hillel staff are also available to help.

Hillel International joined other leading national Jewish organizations and world-renowned law firms to create a dedicated, free legal helpline for Jewish students and faculty impacted by antisemitism on campus, named the Campus Antisemitism Legal Line (CALL). With antisemitism in the U.S. and on campus reaching all-time highs in the wake of the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel, this new resource comes at a critical moment for the Jewish community, and for Jewish college students and families.

A legal team from Hillel International, the ADL, the Brandeis Center, and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP will direct volunteer lawyers from several law firms who will assess reports of antisemitic discrimination and hate, conduct information-gathering interviews, and provide pro bono representation for victims who choose to move forward with specific cases.

All legal services will be provided at no cost to students, faculty, families, and community members impacted by antisemitism. Requests for legal assistance can be submitted through our website at legal-protection.org, or by texting“CALLhelp” to 51555 to receive free, 24/7 support. By working together with our partners, Hillel aims to make this process as easy as possible for students and families seeking legal services and support.
