Creators Track is for students that want to make Jewish experiences fun, meaningful, and relevant to today’s world and accessible for those who don’t know what they’re all about. You want to get to the core of what it all means and build opportunities for your campus community to celebrate, reflect, learn and be together. Creators Track participants will sign up to own our community Shabbat dinners, 21+ Tisches, Havdallah experiences and Jewish holidays. As a cohort, together you’ll own the production (and reinterpretation) of these programs and on-campus events. You’ll work with your mentor one on one and as a group to get the development you need to grow and design successful Jewish experiences.

Expectations:
  • Take the lead in organizing 2-3 Shabbat experiences and 1 holiday each semester
  • Support your cohort in the overall planning, set-up, clean-up, and facilitation of all programs organized through the Creators Track
  • Be present on-campus for all public Judaism events and tabling

Trainings/Commitments:
  • Attend mandatory fall and spring leadership retreats. More details to follow.
  • Mentorship Meeting: 1 hour, 1-on-1 supervision meeting once per month with your Hillel mentor, where you will receive personal and professional development.
  • Creators Track Cohort meetings: Bi-monthly meetings with Creators Track cohort where you will collaborate and strategize for upcoming initiatives.

You’ll be successful if: you are able to preserve what we all love about Jewish traditions and innovate to make it better and fresher. You’re able to incorporate new learnings and refreshing ideas into experiences for your community, you can think outside the box to create new ways for students to connect to Judaism, and you make doing Jewish ritual fun.

Stipends: Information regarding stipends will be posted soon.
