Adventure Track is for students that are excited to promote travel opportunities to their peers and are good at managing multiple moving tasks. You’re excited by the opportunity to help design and recruit for immersive experiences like Birthright-Israel trips or Alternative Breaks. You love to connect students on your campus to experiences that will help them learn more about the world and themselves. You have a good understanding of your campus and know where to find the best candidates for our trips. As a participant of the Adventure Track, you’ll help with the behind-the-scenes work it takes to recruit and approve trip participants, host pre-trip orientations, and provide post-trip reunions so participants get the most out of their experience.

Expectations: Fellow will help Hillel mentor and team with:
  • Interviews - Fellow will support the interview process (coordinate and schedule interviews).
  • Administrative Support - Fellow will support documentation gathering for trip applicants/participants (managing interview excel document, checking passports, checking/following up regarding passports, as well as other help in receiving necessary documentation for accepted trip participants).
  • Orientations -  Fellow will help plan and co-facilitate orientations, order swag/food as necessary.
  • Post-Trip Follow-Through - Fellows will coordinate post-trip reunions and will help administer post-trip communication.
  • Recruitment - Fellow will support recruitment for Birthright-Israel through on-campus tabling, social media posting, and personal engagements.

Trainings/Commitments:
  • Attend mandatory fall and spring leadership retreats. More details to follow.
  • Mentorship Meeting: 1 hour, 1-on-1 supervision meeting monthly with your Hillel mentor, where you will receive personal and professional development.

You’ll be successful if: you use your strong attention to detail and ability to execute tasks to manage all the prep work that goes into organizing and recruiting for immersive experiences. You’re not afraid to reach out to potential participants and convince them to sign up for the adventure of a lifetime. You’re accountable and responsive, using your expert communication skills to get tasks done.

Stipends: Information regarding stipends will be posted soon.
