Description: Creators Track is for students that want to make Jewish experiences at Hillel fun, meaningful, relevant to today’s world and accessible for those don’t know what they’re all about. You want to get to the core of what it all means and build opportunities for our community to celebrate, learn and be together. Alongside the other participants of the Creators Track, you’ll own the production (and reinterpretation) of our Jewish experiences, including but not limited to Shabbatot, Jewish holidays, on-campus celebrations and exhibits. You’ll meet with your mentor one on one to get the development you need to grow.
Required Trainings:
You’ll be successful if: you demonstrate the ability to incorporate new learnings and refreshing ideas into experiences for your community, can think outside the box to create new ways for students to connect to Judaism, and make doing Jewish fun.
Stipends: Each Creators Track participant who successfully completes their track requirements will receive a professional development stipend of $500 at the conclusion of the academic year, to be used for their continued growth.
Ideal Candidate Profile: You’re excited to learn about the why behind Jewish ritual and practice, are able to bring a creative fresh perspective to the planning process, aren’t afraid to try something that’s never been done before, able to manage and delegate tasks necessary to execute your vision (or willing to learn how!) and listen to what your friends actually want and need.
Application process: apply online here by May 12th, 2018. Applicants may be invited to meet for a conversation with Hillel staff. Cohort participants will be announced May 15th, 2018
Required Trainings:
- Hillel Retreats: Creators Track participants agree to attend a mandatory on-boarding retreat (date TBD, August 2018) and a mandatory mid-year retreat (date TBD, January 2019). Travel and accommodations will be provided.
- Mentorship Meetings: Creators Track participants agree to schedule and attend two cohort meetings per month, as well as one individual mentorship meeting per month.
